How to check your store affiliate links
It is good practice to check your store and ensure the affiliate links are working correctly.
Checking your product links
To do so, visit a product page on your store, e.g.:
https://store.welovesharks.club/products/shark-encyclopedia-deep-sea-creatures
Make sure you are in the right locale (e.g. USA) using the dropdown in the top left corner. Then, hover over the Amazon button and look in the bottom right corner of your screen.
You should see a link like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/1465435840?tag=wls89110432-20
Look for your affiliate tracking ID in this link. In the example above, this is wls89110432-20, and the affiliate link is correct.
Checking different merchants
Repeat the above with all the merchants available on your store (e.g. Etsy, Walmart, AliExpress etc.)
Checking different countries
If you have multiple locales set up, change the locale in the top left corner and test that each one has the correct affiliate link.
Troubleshooting
Here are some common problems with checking your affiliate links:
The "Amazon Link Checker" does not work with FreshStore. Please use the method above to check your links
Make sure you have the right locale set (e.g. USA). Choose it using the dropdown in the top left of your store.
- If you click the buy button link and you are not in the relevant country (e.g. you are in the UK and you click a USA link), you might get redirected by Amazon, and your tag will not show in the link. Instead, check your link by hovering over it as described above.
