What are nofollow links?
In your FreshStore store admin area, you might notice the option to "nofollow" a link.
When you "nofollow" a link, it tells Google and other search engines to ignore the link. This is an SEO strategy to avoid passing "Link Juice" or "Link Authority" to pages.
When you link to a page, the search engines see it is a "ranking signal". However, the more links you have on a page, the less "ranking signal" power each link has. It is diluted between all the links.
Therefore it can be a good strategy to "nofollow" unimportant or external links.
For internal links, you might want to "nofollow" your privacy policy page, as you prefer other pages on your store to rank in Google.
For external links, you might not want to pass on "Link Juice". For example, we nofollow the affiliate links to Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, AliExpress etc. by default.
